We are looking for a highly skilled Spacecraft Design Engineer to join our team and lead the development of innovative spacecraft systems. In this role, you will design, analyze, and oversee the integration of spacecraft components to meet mission requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Spacecraft Design and Development: Lead the design and engineering of spacecraft systems, including propulsion, power, thermal, structural, and communication subsystems.
- Mission Integration: Collaborate with mission planners and systems engineers to integrate spacecraft components, ensuring alignment with mission objectives and requirements.
- Performance Analysis: Conduct detailed simulations and analyses of spacecraft performance, identifying and mitigating potential risks or design flaws.
- Prototype Testing: Oversee the development and testing of prototypes, ensuring all components meet performance standards and mission specifications.
- Documentation and Compliance: Prepare detailed technical documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards, government regulations, and mission guidelines.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including software developers, propulsion specialists, and systems engineers, to deliver successful spacecraft solutions.
- Innovation and Optimization: Research and implement new technologies to optimize spacecraft performance, reduce costs, and enhance mission reliability.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in spacecraft design, systems engineering, or satellite development.
- Proficiency in design software tools such as CAD (SolidWorks, CATIA) and simulation software (MATLAB, ANSYS).
- Strong knowledge of spacecraft subsystems, including propulsion, thermal control, power management, and communication systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience with space-grade materials and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with mission-specific requirements for LEO, GEO, or interplanetary spacecraft.
- Knowledge of space mission standards, such as ECSS and NASA guidelines.
- Experience in working with advanced technologies such as ion propulsion, autonomous navigation, or modular satellite design.
